My friend Jim had to say 'goodbye' to someone very precious for him. His cat, Frisky, passed away yesterday. It is never easy to let go someone, especially if they spent more than a half of your life with you... But Friskie sure told the other cats in the Cat Heaven that she lived her life to the fullest, surrounded by people who did their best to make her happy.
You don't have to comment on this if you don't want to. I just hope I made you smile at least for a moment. Take care!

Francis! This really warmed my broken heart! Thank you so much for the beautiful picture and your kind words! Losing a loved one and letting go are never easy. I know you are quite familiar with that pain too. It's so important to take comfort in the good memories and focus on the happiness that was shared! Thank you so very much for this, I love how you drew her (you even got her colors!)!
ReplyDeleteNo problem, it's my pleasure :)
DeleteYes, definitely. Both me and you seemingly experienced it many times but, sadly, the pain is always equally strong. And rezognizing all the good memories is the best way to sum up such a great relationship.
No problem once again!
this is so thoughtful and sweet <3 i can see jim loved it and i love it too! friskie was a very lucky kitty to have spent her life with people who cared so much for her. she lived to a ripe, old age!
ReplyDeleteyour cartoon-y take on her is absolutely wonderful :) i love the way you positioned her halo and how feathery her wings look! i have no doubt she's having a grand time up in kitty heaven right now.
Thanks! Yes, she got to the best person that she could possibly ever find.
DeleteGlad you like it ^^ It's a miracle that I actually drew something after 2 (or even 3) weeks without a single drawing made. She was an enjoyable little angel to draw.
